A Buyer at John Lewis is a pivotal role responsible for inspiring customers with an incredible breadth of stylish products and experiences. From sofas to make-up or tablet computers to handbags, our Buyers are experts in developing our many categories into market leading customer propositions.
If you like the idea of leading the market with the most innovative and exciting products, this is the chance to play a defining role in how customers perceive the John Lewis brand while ensuring the commercial viability of our business. We are looking for candidates with a real passion for retail and developing the products we sell. Driving positive change in our product proposition is key to what makes a great Buyer, so candidates must demonstrate an excellent understanding of what influences our customers together with a high degree of commercial acumen.
Our Buyers are responsible for our product assortments, their customer proposition and leading the supply base for their areas. Great product orientation, strong customer advocacy and excellent negotiation skills are some of the key elements we look for in our Buying candidates.
