Branch Managers
Being a Branch Manager of a Waitrose food shop feels like running your own £multi-million business. With full commercial and operational control, you’ll have the scope and authority to implement your branch’s strategy while also managing the hundreds of dedicated Partners who work under your guidance.
Being able to develop your team and the business through a consultative, participative and inspirational style of management will be crucial to your success. A combination of strong leadership skills and excellent communication abilities will ensure you succeed commercially while developing the Partners around you to be the best they can be.
Although you’ll bring proven operational and commercial experience, plus considerable experience of managing sizeable teams in a complex arena, you’ll spend your first few months with us on our tailored fast-track development programme.
Department Managers
Accountable for all of your branch’s department results, you’ll be responsible for developing this part of the business and all the Partners working within it. Promoting the Partnership ideal of teamwork will be key to your success.
From ensuring all procedures are implemented to organising rotas and making sure your team is sufficiently trained and well-presented, you’ll go out of your way to make sure the Waitrose standard of customer service is consistently achieved.
Educated to degree level or of graduate calibre, you’ll bring an impressive track record of successfully managing a large team within a store or a business. A passion for retail, ideally in the food arena, is vital.
