Warehouse
Jobs within Warehousing will vary depending on the location and whether it’s a John Lewis or Waitrose warehouse, but they generally include opportunities for Drivers, Warehouse Assistants, Managers, Administrators and in Logistics.
Waitrose Warehouses
There are two Waitrose Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs) in Bracknell and Aylesford. We also have two contract-run RDCs in Brinklow and Bardon.
Bracknell RDC in Berkshire operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week and employs approximately 1,200 Partners. The site has three warehouses: Ambient (for storage of long-life products), Fruit & Vegetables and Chilled.
Aylesford RDC operates on over 40 acres of land just off the M20 in Kent. The site comprises three warehouses: Ambient (for storage of long-life products), Fruit & Vegetables, and Chilled. You'll also find a Transport department and a Vehicle Workshop here.
John Lewis Warehouses
The John Lewis Supply Chain is a fully integrated operation across seven National Distribution Centres and a number of Service Buildings. It encompasses deliveries to stores, backhauls, inter Distribution Centre stock movements and support for new branch openings.
We have invested in a new 650,000 square foot semi-automated warehouse at Magna Park near Milton Keynes. As we offer a wide range of delivery options to our customers there are also more local service buildings from which customer purchases are dispatched, whether it is the delivery of a fragile lamp or plumbing in a new washing machine.

Our Transport team is responsible for meeting our complex branch delivery schedules.
Stock Controllers liaise with our buyers and place orders with suppliers so that our warehouses have sufficient stock available to meet branch requirements.
Planners look at how we might develop our distribution operation as we open new branches or carry out special projects.
Engineers are responsible for maintaining and repairing our mechanical equipment, including our refrigeration equipment.
Managers are responsible for specific areas within the warehouse operation, logistics and support areas.
We also have a small team that monitors and supports the distribution operations we contract out to companies with other specialist facilities.
