The John Lewis Partnership Technology Graduate Scheme gives you the opportunity to become part of the leading retail IT team in the UK.
IT is an integral part of our £9.5 billion gross sales business. It underpins every aspect of the retail life cycle and is a key enabler for our business success. Our IT teams innovate and move at pace giving us an edge in a highly competitive environment. Technology that has our customers and Partners at the heart of it is of paramount importance; we look to technology to improve the bottom line, enhance efficiency, drive sales and engage our customers. We need the best and brightest individuals who can operate in and become future leaders in this high-performing IT function and continue delivering effective solutions.
Our IT functions cover the entire span of modern retail. We manage the technology offer in our John Lewis Department stores and Waitrose food shops, lead development of the online offer and oversee our support services in Partnership Services.
During your three years on the scheme you will be based in several of the IT functions across our central London and Bracknell offices. Graduates are expected to be flexible in order to support their own training and development as well as the needs of the business.
What we look for
We trust our graduate trainees will develop to take on a crucial role in the future. So whilst we look for a minimum 2:2 degree in any discipline, we’re also looking for individuals who have an aptitude for problem solving, logical thinking, have leadership potential and of course, who are as excited about technology as we are.
Being a well-rounded, enthusiastic and driven individual is also important – someone who can plan for the success of our business, work at pace and get the best out of those around them. We look for people who are not only passionate about the retail industry but passionate about everything the Partnership stands for.
